Having been through the Workplace Healing H.O.P.E. workshop, I was reminded of how important it is to be prepared as well as comfortable responding to those dealing with a difficult situation. It is easy to forget that not everyone knows how to respond nor are they comfortable addressing the needs of others during a challenging time. The H.O.P.E. Workshop provided practical advice and solutions to help supervisors and/or team members to know how and where they should look to provide support to a co-worker. In many cases, the people we work with are an extension of our family and friends, and being there for them in hard times establishes a foundation of loyalty that great cultures can build upon.
